From the project conception to completion, there are many steps than need to fall exactly in place for the final result to work. This involves several stages, such as estimating, scheduling, design and production, , proofing, editing, press approvals and shipping and can take organizing to the extreme.

Working with our estimators who shop out best pricing for digital print, offset, bindery, promo and piece work to the design team we all work together and follow a client-approved schedule that keeps us on track to meet our clients’ deadlines. We know it can be difficult for clients to deal with different parts of a project with multiple suppliers, so I really think that’s a big reason we stand out! Here’s a quick example of how we work. A client has a need for books and these books need to be shipped across the country. They need to be laid out, proofed, edited, pre-press proofs, printed, bound, packaged and shipped.
The first thing we do is build a schedule. Our design team is given a timeline indicating layout time, proof and final artwork deadlines. Next is production time for printing where there are a certain number of days for them to be printed and another couple of days to be bound. Following this is a packaging split list given from client and listing of ship to’s. Sounds pretty simple, eh? In a perfect world yes, but there’s always a few hitches along the way and trying to handle that with many different suppliers can be very difficult. Here, we meet daily as a team to discuss deadlines and projects. Working side by side with each department has its benefits and helps things along smoothly!
